Mayple & Grand Alliance Music Drop A Fresh Single
Fresh from the depths of Grand Alliance Music drops a new single from the artist Mayple, and this track encompasses a soiree of electronic and driving soundscapes and boasts elements of glitch, EDM, and even some dubstep but the cool thing about it is that it all flows together in such a seamless manner that it reaches out and grabs you.
"Thickets and Tangles" is quite a massive track or at least it feels that way. You have amazing synth and key tones all throughout it and there's a lot of vastness in its underbelly which is a big part of the attractive aspects of the song.
It also showcases some breakbeat action and somehow -lends in this sort of old-school or early 90s vintage style approach which rounds the song out extremely well and gives you hints at some of the artist's many influences.
This is a banger of a track with its own life. It isn't conformed to one thing but feels familiar in strange ways.
It's ever-changing and that open and forward-moving flow is very addictive.
This is a producer and artist who is able to blend those genres and have it feel like something fresh while still keeping some of those old-school vibes that give you a slightly nostalgic feeling.
The beat is deep and wide and I love that about it because it hits hard that way. The kicks and snares used for this one are edgy, and so are some of the synths.
The upfront synth tones are cutting but there are also those spacious ones that float through the atmosphere of the track that gives it such a round feel.
It's cool because it's kind of danceable and you can really get into the rhythm and groove of it all but it is experimental and edgy at the same time. Boasting that vibrant tonality along with some of that cutting and punching edginess is a brilliant approach here.
There's also a bunch of melodic hooks that are performed on those since as well and those sections are the ones that end up bouncing around in your head after the song is over.
This was super fun and showcases Mayple as one of the many new artists on The Grand Alliance Music, Vol, 2: MAIORA album the label just dropped.
Throughout the compilation itself, you have an amazing and astounding amount of boundary-breaking and cutting-edge music coming from artists that drop songs with no walls built around them.
Some of these tracks are completely visionary and obviously, Grand Alliance Music has their ears and eyes open.
Mayple displays his many influences and approaches rolled up into one Fat track and this is one for the books.
Now, Mayple is one of the electronic-based artists and producers on the record but the album itself encompasses an array of genres and styles including hip hop as well which is one of the ones more on the Forefront.
You want to get your hands on this because there's a lot of edginess, Swagger, energy, experimental approaches, and again, groundbreaking music coming from this record.
