An Honest New Single from Lyghthouse
A new single release from Lyghthouse delivers a special kind of honesty and does so with a vast and progressive rock format that quickly builds into soundscape and atmosphere for you to fall right into but the entire thing is built with a message and it's incredibly relatable and was probably cathartic for whoever wrote the lyrics to get it out.
"I Will Rise" definitely has hints of edginess and Sullen in its underbelly but that's because the song is really about rising up above certain things that are trying to hold you down and no matter what they may be this is something we can all understand because we all go through struggles.
No matter what life throws at you sometimes you need to have someone else tell you that you can get through it.
I feel like this song speaks volumes more in the sense that when someone hears it they may not feel like they're alone or whatever that struggle may be and that's why music like this is really empowering for people to hear.
If this song hits the right person at the right time it could be a game changer and that's really important because sending messages through music is something that works for the artist and for the listener.
This was a beautifully performed song and yes it does have a sort of 90s progressive rock undertone with dark edges but that's because it's sincerely about fighting through struggle and coming to the sense that you will rise above it.
The song is about getting knocked down and being able to get back up and that is an actual mindset that you need to have to push through certain factors in life.
Musically the song is perfect. The guitar tones are not overdone, but perfectly balanced and the whole thing comes through with a genuine and sort of authentic feeling so you know it came from someplace real.
The song is impactful and will definitely leave its mark on the right people but the thing is, everyone deals with this and so this may be one band or one person's viewpoint or experience struggling through something and rising above it, but the vast majority of people could benefit from a message like that.
The track has a cool almost live energy performance to it where everyone involved is sort of feeding off of each other and so the energy is electric in a way and it makes it feel like it's happening right there in the moment almost like you're watching a performance of it in person.
I think that this track came through exactly the way it was meant to aesthetically because it's impactful and still has this great 90s underground alternative rock vibe going on so for someone like myself, not only did I receive that message, but I also got little hints of nostalgia as well while I listen to it.
This track worked on a multitude of levels and did an amazing job of delivering a truthful and genuine rock experience.
I love a good rock song that has meaning behind it and this track hit all of those sweet spots and more.
Check this out as soon as you can and listen to it with headphones on because it's one of the best ways to soak in the atmosphere of this song.
