Häxa Delivers A Beautiful Single

A new single release from Häxa brings out a beautiful and lush atmosphere that breeds such a thick mood and emotion that you get caught up in its character and persona right from the start.
"Sad Siren" is the song that is very easy to get engulfed in because its soundscape is so vast and ever-building, which comes through with such a layered and cinematic backbone that you end up getting wrapped up in it all.
Not only does the song display such mood but the way it's put together has a smooth sort of build up and as the track on folds the beats grow stronger but still not over the top, the synths and keys along with loads of vocals start coming into play and building up as well, and the song becomes somewhat more intense.
The arrangement of this track is one of the most imperative parts of how it comes through with such a wondrous aesthetic.
It takes you on a bit of a journey, if you will. You start off with something a little more subtle, but you're getting the mood and the vibe right from the start. It starts to grow from there, and you end up getting pulled into that atmosphere pretty quickly.
The track has a combination of what I would consider to be vintage pop tonality mixed with a more current synth-pop style and a little hint of alternative, and it's underbelly because it does have a little bit of edginess there, but I think that also comes from the raw emotion that is built into it.
For all of these reasons, the song does come through cinematic to me. I can easily see this track in the scene of a film or TV show because of that emotional drive and expansive sound.
The vocal approach is absolutely gorgeous. You start to get a feel for the soul of this song from the beginning, but the more you listen to it and the deeper in you go, more of those layers and textures start building up, and as that happens, you start to really understand more about the drive behind the song.
By the time you get towards the middle and end of the track you start hearing a lot of background vocals coming into play and adding a lot of lushness to that atmosphere along with these beautiful synth pads floating through the songs ether giving it more of that spaciousness and all these factors are part of why you fall into it so easily.
You can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the creation of the song, but throughout it all, it never loses its heart, persona, or purpose.
It feels like a song that comes from a very personal space and feels a little bit vulnerable, but I think that's also part of why it has such an impact.
This is a song that has a dreamy tonality to it, and the beat adds some of that edginess. As I mentioned earlier, the beat grows. So you have a standard style beat in the beginning, and then it becomes more driving towards the middle and end of the track, along with everything else, so it helps build that intensity.
It's the kind of track that feels more alive and breathing than anything else.
It's not really cookie-cutter in any way, shape, or form, but it has a great arrangement and has a way of floating around in the air that surrounds you.
One of the things that blew me away about this track is that it actually caused memories of my own to pop into my head at random, which is pretty rare.
I love songs that are automatically connected the way this one is.
Listening to this single, I took a bit of a deep dive into Häxa's back catalog, and there are a slew of releases that do provide this beautiful but sort of darkened and slightly edgy pop tonality that seems to be part of the staple of what she puts out there.
If you like this track, I suggest checking out these other releases because they really do serve as an escape. These songs pull you away from wherever you are and whatever you're doing, and they put you in this whole other space for a chunk of time.
It's quite a beautiful experience and I thoroughly enjoyed being pulled into these spaces as I did dip into this catalog. The further and I dipped, the deeper I got pulled into this other world. Beautiful, edgy, honest, dreamlike, and all-enveloping.
Absolutely, check this out right now because it just released today and listen to this with headphones on so you can really soak in all these layers of vocals and textures that come at you throughout the course of the song.
Check it out and see how this affects you.
