Gabrielle Ornate Releases An Edgy Pop Powerhouse
Gabrielle Ornate returns with a new single that breeds an edginess that walks that pop line in an incredibly tasteful way with bright changes, bending vocals, and a vast sound that feels lush and alive.
"Free Falling" has this awesome energy that takes over and grabs a hold of you and pulls you right in.
There are some killer progression and vocal surprises and melodies you don't expect and they keep you on your toes for surte and it's also got a great guitar solo section that helps push that touch of nostalgic retro-pop style.
The tones themselves are so tasty and just have a way of creating a sonic presence that's not easy to come by.
There is a lot going on in the track but it also feels so crisp while remaining so robust and I think that's probably a challenging thing in the mixing room.
It works so well here that it's almost intimidating.
Ornate has a lush voice that is the kind of voice that turns heads but in combination with the song itself it's enough to make you lose place in your conversation to stop and say "hey wait...what is this we're hearing right now".
The vocal melodies are literally addictive. It's seemingly hook after hook. Even the verses are catchy as hell and the song just comes through in a certain way that gives it the ability to take you away to this other place.
It's alternative pop for sure but incorporates a number of genres in there that all shine through in different parts of the track.
This was killer and fans of new and classic alt-pop will love this.
Welcome back Gabrielle, we want more!
